ENROLLMENT               WAITLIST               PRICING               TOURS

Montpelier Children’s House is serves children aged 3 months to five years of age. We are an Act 166 Pre-K partner.  Because we are a small program, we have a limited number of openings each year.

enrollment

Update as of 4/1/2024 - We are a small program, and our program size coupled with industry-wide staffing challenges have led to our inability to enroll any new children at this time. We are currently at capacity through September of 2025. That said, enrollment changes do happen and we are happy to place children on our waitlist should openings occur. Any program vacancies will be posted here as they occur.

When do you enroll new students?

We enroll new students as spots become available, which generally occurs between late June and August.

Our Pre-School Program:

While we do maintain a waiting list, we generally do not have openings for preschool during the school year, which runs from September through end of June.  From the beginning of July through August, we transition graduating students to Kindergarten and welcome new students as spots become available. Any new students that do not join us during the summer begin enrollment at the end of August.  Generally, our first day of school aligns with Montpelier Public Schools.

Our Birth-Three Program:

Enrollment for openings are filled as they arise. Families are encouraged to complete a wait list application so they can be eligible for a spot as they become available.

How do I know you have openings?

If we have an immediate opening OR any anticipated future openings, this will be reflected here on our website.

What is your your enrollment process?

Children are enrolled for the coming school year in mid-March for Pre-K the following year, or as spots become available. To fill our enrollment, we begin with our current wait list applicants.  We enroll children on the waiting list in the following order: children of National Life employees, children of National Life tenant employees, children of siblings currently enrolled, siblings of MCH alumni, and enrollments from the community. At the time of enrollment, families will complete a full application and enrollment contract. At this point, we generally know when during the summer enrollment spots will be available.
